The Leap

I made the video as Arun jumped.

It wasn’t fun to capture his fear. However, a part of me was relieved. If he could do it, so could I. After all, what are the stakes?

I looked up at the tower, I realized my fear wasn’t as gigantic as the tower.

As he halted, I asked him, “How was it- conquering your fear?”

Exasperated, looking at the camera, he replied “Exhilarating!

I strapped up. After allIt takes only one moment of faith to take the leap.

  1. A well told tale, Priya. Telling the story from the pov of the person operating the video works well, by pushing the reader to use their own imagination. And you retain the suspense because the video operator has to jump next! The moral of your story applies to many things, doesn’t it? And it’s often easier if there are two people involved to give each other confidence.

    1. Yup, just read.
I googled about the emirates spinnaker tower. They have, what they call, ‘the drop’, not exactly Bungie jumping. Doesn’t look scary but not easy for the fainthearted, like me 😀
      Thank you
