“I think, I have killed a man.” Write a story with these words.

“I think, I killed a man”, he entered home and announced that day.

“What happened, Raj?” I asked.

“As I was coming from work, I saw a man crossing the road. Suddenly he stopped in the middle of the road. He just froze, as if he had seen a ghost. My car was speeding, I swear, I tried but I could not stop. I ran him over. I panicked and drove as fast as I could. I killed him.”

After that incident, for a year we checked the newspaper and tv, but no news of the accident. We tried but could not track him.

After a few years, while walking on the street Raj noticed a car, much like his own. As if dazed, he ran in the middle of the road. And he was run over. He was talking on the phone to me, so I know.

She said in her calm voice.

“What were his last words to you? What happened to Raj? And who was the man Raj had accidentally killed.?” Confused, I asked more questions than I should have.

She looked at me straight into my eyes and said, “He said to me on phone “No way… Is it me?

She added after a pause, “He killed himself.”

“You mean he committed suicide?” I asked.

“I believe, he somehow time-traveled and killed himself in the future. All by accident.” She replied.

    1. He accidentally tile traveled and killed himself in the future and then of course, it happened to him again. So the title ‘accident’ is for both the time travel and the car accident.
      Thanks for stopping by.
